Roadphalt colored asphalt is a new environment protection product which is developed independently by Shanghai Roadphalt Asphalt Technology Co. Ltd. Through 3 years’ research, and has achieved a national patent and two national utility patents. It is Shanghai high-technology achievement transformation project and Shanghai innovation fund project, and it also passes SGS environmental monitoring. As high-performance asphalt modifier, polymer, coloring agent, anti-aging agent, high-viscosity asphalt stabilizer, anti-rutting agent and other additives are added, the product has some good performances such as economy, environmental protection, high temperature stability, good resistance to water damage, good construction performance and meeting the requirement of characteristic of heavy traffic asphalt. Now, our company offers a warming filling delivery (20-30 tons/jar, can dock batching plant), on-site processing (Mobile processing equipment of colored modified asphalt, 25 tons/batch, can dock batching plant) and drum transport (200kgs/ barrel, need take off the barrel of equipment).<br />

Removeable storage tank of colored modified asphalt for batching plant can dock pipeline of batching plant, and no new equipment are added and just clean the original pipeline of black asphalt, no dumping equipment and no storage tanks of colored modified asphalt are needed, and the loss is almost zero. Furthermore, the remaining colored asphalt and pigment can be returned if packaging is not damaged. <br />

After our technicians enter the field and complete the docking of batching plant and processing equipment, products can be supplied, and the daily amount of feeding is 5,000-20,000m2 for paving (determined by production of batching plant and paving rate). Time is unlimited and operation is easy. When mixture is prepared, 2-3% pigment is put into batching plant and mixed with stone to form colored asphalt mixture, then loading and paving can be done. 3 cm of paving thickness is suggested on the premise of saving cost. The product has also advantages of high strength for colored pavement, high and low-temperature performance, excellent durability. In addition, color is bright and colorfast. Pigment package is 25 kg / bag.<br />

Mixing and transport of mixture<br />
 <br />
Construction technology of colored asphalt mixture is similar to that of common asphalt mixture, and attention should be paid to the following: <br />
<br />
1. Clean the original feed pipeline of black asphalt and dock the equipment of colored asphalt. <br />
 <br />
2. Before mixing, mixing tank in the mixing station is washed with hot aggregate several times cleanly.<br />
 <br />
3. Property of raw material should be stable so that mix proportion of production target can be close to that of design target greatly. <br />
<br />
4. Temperature of aggregate is controlled at 170degree-190degree, and heating temperature of asphalt is at 160degree-175degree. <br />
<br />
5. Pigment is packed in bag. Pre-calculate the amount of pigment for a jar of mixture before using and open package in advance. After aggregate is put into mixing tank, pigment is added directly. The suggested mixing time is 60s, and actual mixing time depends on the requirements of appearance for asphalt. Asphalt mixture should have performances of even coverage, no gray particle, uniform color, no agglomerate and no isolation phenomena of particle. The quality can meet construction requirement.<br />

6. Vehicles and coverings for transporting mixture should be cleaned in advance. <br />

Mixture paving 

The paving processes of both colored asphalt mixture and conventional asphalt mixture are basically the same. 
Paver should be cleaned, especially screed should be cleaned with solvent or colored asphalt mixing is paved on the pavement substrate until there are no streaks from the substrate to the superstratum. 
When paving begins, production, transport, paving and rolling performance of mixture should be considered to ensure continuous paving and full-size shape for keeping color consistent, granule uniform and beautiful.

Compaction molding of mixture

Water in the roller tank should be replaced, and rust should be cleaned. Roller should be stopped on the mat so that it does not touch the substrate of black asphalt, and rolls on directly from wooden pad to colored mixture. Any tools touched with mixture in the rolling process should be cleaned.
Rolling compaction combination: the same with conventional permeable asphalt mixture
Rolling strength: compaction should be guaranteed on the premise of no crushed stone. Over compaction should be avoided, or colored effect is affected if stone is crushed.
When the rolling starts, because there is some water on the surface, manual operation, manual paving and manual feeding must be stopped, or it is difficult for substrate mixture and artificial feeding to bond together. This should be emphasized by construction staff in advance.
